Each February, Greater Manchester’s vibrant digital and tech sector takes centre stage as Manchester Digital hosts the Digital Skills Festival – a week long celebration of the sector, its businesses and people.
With opportunities to get involved for organisations, educators, tech professionals and those hoping to break into the industry, the festival welcomes all as we celebrate the region’s successes, address the challenges we are facing and forge lasting connections.
Activities take place across all 5 days, and range from Conference Day, where stakeholders from business, education and government discuss the latest trends, challenges and opportunities facing the sector, to Talent Day, the largest tech careers fair in the North. Plus dedicated events for current tech professionals, individuals and businesses interested in apprenticeships, and women in tech!

Manchester Digital
Manchester Digital is the trade body for Greater Manchester’s digital and tech sector, championing growth and innovation across the industry. With over 500 members, Manchester Digital supports businesses, individuals and the wider community with events, training, skills programmes, diversity initiatives and networking opportunities.
Using the power of membership to take direct action to solve specific issues and barriers that impact the sector’s growth, Manchester Digital provides a cohesive voice for the sector, ensuring that its views are represented at a local and national government level.

fareshare greater manchester
Manchester Digital has chosen FareShare Greater Manchester as our Charity Partner for the Digital Skills Festival 2024. FareShare is an incredible project that works to combat food waste and food poverty in our city.
Currently, in Greater Manchester, one in four children are living in a food insecure household. This means that they do not have regular access to satiating and nutritious food. We want to harness the power of our community to help change this, by supporting the fantastic work FareShare Greater Manchester do.
How we’re working together:
1. We’ll be making a direct donation to FareShare Greater Manchester from Manchester Digital.
2. Our Digital Skills Festival events are all free to attend, so we’re encouraging attendees to make a donation to FareShare Greater Manchester in lieu of paying for a ticket.
3. We’re promoting FareShare before, during and after Festival, raising awareness for their vital work to an audience of potential corporate and individual supporters.
4. Our friends at Fareshare will have a presence at the Festival, supporting them to make new connections to further their mission
