Skills Audit

Results of the Digital Skills Snapshot 2024 revealed.

Our new Digital Skills Snapshot reflects a change from the previous Digital Skills Audit which focused more on data.

For 2024, this report is a more reflective piece of work, with more input from our tech community and wide-reaching membership.

The Skills Snapshot was designed in partnership with GOTO Creative, and was unveiled at the Digital Skills Festival 2024 on Monday 5th February 2024.

The Digital Skills Audit provides us with important information on the sector, the people working in it and the future skills demands that are emerging. This helps us continue the work we do with education and industry to continue to support the ecosystem to be more progressive, inclusive and diverse.

The results of the 2023 survey can be downloaded here.

Policy- Forming Research

The Manchester Digital Skills Audit is an annual audit of over 250 digital and technology businesses.

This important piece of research is used by businesses, policymakers and other regional and national stakeholders to understand which issues need to be prioritised and addressed as well as identifying any new or emerging trends.

Why is the Digital Skills Audit important?

This body of research has been the catalyst behind many of the region’s industry-led endeavours to help address the skills shortage and over the last 12 months, with private and public sector support, we have significantly grown the number of programmes that we run and tripled the volume of schools, colleges and educators we have been able to support.
